The purpose of the webpage is to help local families find childrens days out. Kent has many fantastic places to visit and sites to see and it is our aim to list as many as we can here in an easy-to-read, uncomplicated format.

If you notice that an attraction is missing from our list, please email us at info@gesweb.co.uk. The only conditions are that it should be in Kent and be suitable for kids.

Howletts Wild Animal Park, Bekebourne, Nr Cantebury

Kids love animals and Howletts have a large collection that includes gorillas, clouded leopards, monkeys, tapirs, Iberian wolves, macaques, rhinos, lemurs and the largest elephant herd in the UK.

Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Lympne, Nr Hythe

Built to extend the capacity of Howletts, Port Lympne also houses a great myriad of different creatures and is a fantastic place to take the kids on a day out.

Monster Truck

The Hop Farm Family Park, Beltring, Paddock Wood

Find out about Kent's rich hop heritage in the Hop Museum before visiting the Animal Farm, Magic Factory and Children's Driving School. Have fun on a multitude of rides and partake in the Great Goblin Hunt. It also hosts many annual events throughout the year including the European Championship Monster Truck Race and the Kent Country Fair. With so many attractions, it's no wonder The Hop Farm Family Park is one of Kent's most popular place to take the kids.

Beaver

Beaver Water World, Tatsfield

More animal fun for kids can be found at these zoological gardens. As well as beaver, deer, owls and guinea pigs, they also have a large reptilian rescue centre and multiple aviaries.

For a great day out with the kids in Kent, visit Jungle Jim's Indoor Play Barn. The main attraction is the large soft-play area for the kids, whilst adults can relax in the cafe but with quad bikes, karting, falconry shows and an outdoor adventure playground, there's plenty to keep everyone happy throunghout the day.

The Ceramic Experience, Sittingbourne

Younger kids love painting, so why not take them to The Ceramic Experience where they can paint all kinds of ceramics and play in the soft-play area whilst the grown-ups unwind in the cafe. All materials are provided.

Tenterden Town Station

Tagged as "the country's finest example of a rural light railway", Tenterton Town Station offers rides on both steam and diesel engines along 10 miles of track.

Kent Life, Maidstone

Kent Life is a 28 acre farm that has plenty of wonderful farmyard animals ranging from donkeys, horses and ferrets to piglets, goats and lambs, many of whom can be petted. An outdoor adventure playground, stilt-walking, face-painting and tractor rides means that there's always plenty to do on a day out.
